Zachary Conrad, executive director of data and technology for Lawrence Public Schools, is resigning after the end of the school year.
He has accepted a position with the Kansas City, Kansas Public Schools, according to a Thursday news release from the district.
“I enjoyed working with the administrative team and technology staff to support student-centered learning and information-based, learner-driven decision-making. I am proud of the progress we have made toward our goal to optimize resources and programs so that all students have an opportunity to achieve at high levels,” Conrad said in the release.
His resignation, pending school board approval, will be effective June 30.
Conrad is one of multiple district administrators to retire or resign in recent weeks. The district is evaluating all vacancies as part of its budget planning process.
