Where to see holiday lights in Lawrence

Introducing The Lawrence Times 2022 Festive Map of Holiday Homes. John Brown marks the spot!

Many Lawrence and Douglas County families, groups and neighborhoods create extraordinary displays of holiday lights and decorations outside each year for all to enjoy. Here’s where you can find them.

We started this map with help from community members in 2021. We’re adding new locations as we learn about them, confirming last year’s sites and updating or removing them as needed. If we know there’s a cost to enter a site, we’ve noted that on the map point ($$$). We’ve also included the dates that a display will run, if we have them.

Know a location we should add? We want to include everybody in the Douglas County area! Please click here to fill out a super quick form and let us know.

Tap on a John Brown to see more details about a map point. From the details that expand, you can also get directions to each point. The gray John Browns indicate that we have not yet confirmed that location for 2022, but it was included on last year’s map.

To see the list of locations, click the little box with an arrow in the top left corner of the map. To expand the map in a new window, click the little box in the top right corner.

Bonus: Check out this Lawrence Times TV tour of some of the sites.
