Sports Pavilion Lawrence to close for maintenance

Sports Pavilion Lawrence will close for maintenance and resurfacing starting Monday, Aug. 21, though some programs will still use the building while the work is underway, the city announced Tuesday.


“The facility’s wellness area, lower level, basketball courts and turf field will be temporarily closed to the public during repairs; however, all fitness and gymnastics programs scheduled during this time will still be held,” according to the city’s news release. “Part-time staff will be on-site to answer calls, clean and allow entry and exit of scheduled participants.”

The facility will be closed Monday, Aug. 21 through Wednesday, Aug. 30, and it will reopen at 5:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 31.
