JD Woods and Anthony Harvey Jr., both Lawrence High School alumni, began Kicks 4 Kids in 2020 because they wanted to give back to their hometown community. They’ve also hosted Coats 4 Kids events during past winters.

This summer will mark Woods’ and Harvey’s fourth annual Kicks 4 Kids drive.

Community members are encouraged to donate new and gently used shoes of all sizes. For questions or to coordinate a location to drop off donated shoes beforehand, contact Woods at 785-979-7755 or Harvey at 785-979-7755.

The Kicks 4 Kids distribution is scheduled for 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 19 at the Lawrence High southwest parking lot, 1901 Louisiana St. Kids and young adults in need of shoes can stop by anytime during that window, and no registration is needed.
