Driver injured in crash on K-10; eastbound lane was closed for about 1 mile

The driver of a truck was taken to an area hospital with injuries not believed to be life-threatening after a crash on Kansas Highway 10 Thursday afternoon, according to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office.

The crash occurred around 2:30 p.m. Thursday on K-10 between 27th Street and Iowa Street, according to DGSO. It involved just one vehicle. It was not immediately clear what had caused the crash.

The eastbound lane of the highway was closed as of 3:15 p.m. between 27th Street and about 1 mile west of Iowa Street.

“Fire units are cleaning up fuel in the area. Eastbound traffic is advised to find an alternate route this afternoon,” according to DGSO.

Update: As of 8:36 p.m. Thursday, the highway had reopened, according to DGSO.
