Zombies, ghouls and vampires alike will be traveling down Lawrence’s Massachusetts Street when the sun descends next Thursday evening.
As part of the 17th annual Lawrence Zombie Walk, community members are invited to come decked out in their spooky attire and Halloween costumes.
Makeup and bloodbath stations, a costume contest with prizes, and a professional photo station will be available.
The following vendors will also be present to sell their products and share information:
• That Gelato and Sorbetto Guy;
• The Pastry Lounge;
• DCCCA Traffic Safety Resource Office;
• Amber Scullery Cotton Candy; and
• Boho Apothecary.
The Zombie Walk is scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 17 in downtown Lawrence.
Participants will meet up at 5 p.m. at the South Park gazebo and the walk will commence at sundown. They’ll journey from South Park to Seventh Street along the east side of Massachusetts Street, and return south on the west side.
It’s free to attend, and all ages are welcome. Spectators can hang out along the sidewalks.
People are encouraged to bring dog food, cat food, peanut butter and dog treats for Lawrence Humane Society donation barrels. All donations and proceeds will benefit the humane society. The Granada Theater and 1313 Mockingbird Lane are hosting this year’s event.
