The Democrats in the Legislature have introduced a bill to raise the minimum wage to $15 an hour, and we know the Republicans will kill it.
This is why we need our city commission to pass a $15 minimum wage for all of Lawrence. We can never depend on Topeka to do the right thing, and they are no friend of Lawrence.
$7.25 is not right, almost inhumane at this point. This should be a discussion for the near future.

Max Kautsch: In loco parentis, or just plain loco – Surveilling Kansas students doesn’t make sense (Column)
