Services for Rosemary M. Jimboy, 85, Lawrence will be held at 7:00 P.M. Thursday at Warren-McElwain Mortuary in Lawrence. The family will greet friends at 6:00 P.M., an hour prior to the service. She died March 7, 2025 at Pioneer Ridge Retirement Community in Lawrence.

Rosemary was born on October 29, 1939, in Hoonah, Alaska, the daughter of Gilbert A., Sr. and Katherine (Brown) Mills. She was one of fourteen children.

She graduated from Haskell University in 1959 and then worked for 40 years in Administration at Haskell University.

She married Thomas Jimboy on May 5, 1961, in Lawrence, KS. He survives of the home.

Survivors include her daughter, Twylla Jo Jimboy, her son, Todd Joseph Jimboy; six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; her siblings and many nieces, nephews relatives and friends.

The family suggests memorials in Rosemary’s name to St. John’s Catholic Church and may be sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary.
