Lawrence’s Outdoor Aquatic Center — aka the outdoor pool — is set to open for the year on Monday, May 26.
Splash pads will follow, opening on Tuesday, May 27.
The outdoor pool’s hours will be 1 to 7:30 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and 1 to 6 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. That’s at 727 Kentucky St.
The pool will be open for regular hours from Memorial Day through Sunday, Aug. 17. It will also be open on Saturdays and Sundays, Aug. 23, 24, 30 and 31, as well as Labor Day, which is Monday, Sept. 1.
Splash pads will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily. Those are located at 15th Street and Burroughs Creek Trail in eastern Lawrence and at 700 Lyon St. in North Lawrence.
Daily admissions charges for the pool will be $6 for people ages 3 to 17 and 60 and up, and $7 for people ages 18 to 59. There is no charge for kids ages 2 and younger with an adult’s paid admission, with a limit of three children per adult.
Annual, 30-day and summer passes are also available for $325, $40 and $80, respectively. Learn more on the city’s website at this link.
