Rain gives way to rainbows at Lawrence PRIDE

Although it did indeed rain on the Lawrence PRIDE parade, the weather didn’t dampen the spirits of those in attendance. And as the storm cleared, a rainbow encircled the sun.

Thousands of people — including visitors from Topeka, Leavenworth, Eudora and elsewhere — came out to celebrate LGBTQ+ Pride Month at the annual event Saturday in downtown Lawrence.
