Megan Dodge, director of human resources for the City of Lawrence, will be leaving her position in November, the city announced Tuesday.
Dodge said via email Tuesday that she’s moving into consulting with EverStrive Solutions, “where I’ll get to continue working with public sector leaders who are serving their communities.” She also plans to do some mediation work, she said.
“Team Lawrence is made up of dedicated, creative and talented people who come to work every day to help make our community stronger,” Dodge said. “It’s been an honor to serve the place I am raising my family and I look forward to continuing to be an active member of the community.”
Dodge’s employment with the city began in January 2022 and will end effective Nov. 14, according to the city’s news release.
Lawrence City Manager Craig Owens said in the release that “Megan has been a true champion for both the people of Team Lawrence and for building an engaged and empowered team culture. Her leadership has left a meaningful mark on our organization, and we know her impact will be felt wherever she goes.”
Cori Wallace, a spokesperson for the city, said she did not yet know how the position will be filled (such as whether there will be a national search) and whether an interim director of HR will be appointed. She expects the city will have those answers in the coming weeks.
