When reporters arrived at Hawks Pointe, they observed one marked and one unmarked police car. A carpet steamer van sat outside an apartment building in the 1500 block of Lynch Court, south of Seventh Street and west of Michigan Street, which had police tape strung across the front. Some workers with the steamer company entered and left the building.

Officers at the scene said they did not have any more information beyond what was included in the Facebook post.
At 1:30 p.m., the post was updated to say that police presence had moved near Fourth and Minnesota Streets. The post update did not specify why they moved to that location but did state that “the shooting investigation has led us to that area.”
“We can’t responsibly confirm details, but will keep you posted as the investigation progresses,” the post stated.
A reporter at the scene saw around four or five police vehicles near homes on Minnesota Street south of Fourth Street.

Multiple officers approached one home as a black truck towed a green sedan away and headed down Fourth Street, followed by a police vehicle.
“Neighbors in the area of 4th and Minnesota can return to their homes,” police said in their late afternoon update. “There is no continued danger in the area and it is not where the arrest occurred.”
No other details were confirmed about the suspect, injured person or circumstances of the shooting as of the latest update to this article.
