Harry Nicholas “Nick” Rice has attained a form of posthumous justice after 56 years and a coverup campaign about his murder by a Lawrence police officer. His brother unveiled a historical marker sharing his story Monday evening.
The Lawrence community is invited to a commemorative program to honor Tiger Dowdell and Nick Rice, two teens who were shot and killed by police in 1970. Historic markers will also be unveiled this month.
