Fork & Tumbler, a small plates and cocktails restaurant on Ninth Street, tendered its two-week notice on Facebook.

The restaurant announced in a post Thursday that its last day of service would be Saturday, May 2.

“Again, thank you, we will miss and appreciate you all,” the post, addressed to friends and family, reads. “Thanks for the memories and being a part of this adventure, and making it possible. Be good and take care of each other out there. We Love you all!!!!!!!”

Owners Rob Coleman and Brad Walters repeatedly expressed concern about the Jayhawk Watershed Project affecting their business, as the city has closed down portions of Ninth Street for major repairs. Most recently, crews extended the closure to Mississippi Street this week.

Fork & Tumbler’s Facebook post says they’ll continue with catering and private chef services. People can reach out through the social media page with inquiries.

Those who want to get a last bite at the restaurant have six more dinner service opportunities.

Fork & Tumbler is open from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday through May 2 at 616 W. Ninth St.
