Frances Susan “Fran” Wisdom, 68, of Lawrence, passed away Thursday, May 7, 2026, at her home.
She was born October 10, 1957, in El Paso, Texas, the daughter of Robert Louis and Kay KY (Sung) Scrivo. Fran grew up in Lawrence and attended Lawrence High School. She retired from Berry Plastics in quality control after over 20 years of service.
Fran is survived by her children, Richard Scrivo, Angela Austin and Stevi Patterson, of Lawrence; Grandchildren, Skylar Klee, Bend, OR; Daisha Austin, Aurora, CO; Maya Davidson, KC, MO; Assata Austin, Kymani Morrison, Gold Patterson and Aria Patterson all of Lawrence. Siblings: Robert Scrivo JR (Linda), Bonner Springs, KS; Rose Scrivo, Seatle, WA; John Scrivo, KC, MO; Mike Scrivo, Las Vegas, NV; Joe Scrivo, Independence, MO; and Domonic Scrivo (Terri) Ozawkie, KS; and Godchild: Ex’Zabre Boldridge-Smith of Topeka, KS.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert (Sarge) Scrivo Sr. and Kay KY Scrivo and her sister, Katherine Oglesby.
Fran was an avid reader and movie buff. She never turned down a trip to the casino or spending time with her grandchildren.
A celebration of Fran’s life will be held from 5:00 pm – 6:30 pm Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Richard Scrivo or Stevi Patterson, 101 N Michigan St. Lot 24, Lawrence, KS 66044, to help with funeral expenses.
