After a successful first concert this spring, the 780 Songwriters Circle is back with a new set of local artists.
Chris Molla of Camper Van Beethoven will host the event, and musical guests will alternate performances with stories of how their songs came to be.
“Our first Songwriter Circle was such a magical evening,” said Nick Carswell, director of Lawrence Music Alliance. “It offers the kind of insight that really inspires and peels back the curtain.”
Guests will include rock ‘n’ roll singer-songwriter Arthur Dodge, folksinger Kelly Hunt, and rural singer and bass player Julie Schwarting.
780 Songwriters Circle will start at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, June 10, at the Lawrence Public Library, 707 Vermont St. The event is free to attend and will later be broadcast on 105 Live on Kansas Public Radio.
