Lawrence Central Rotary is set to host the 16th annual Lawrence Community Bike Ride, a free event open to cyclists of all ages and skill levels.
The event will be held from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday, July 18 at the Lawrence Rotary Arboretum Shelter, 5100 W. 27th St. The event is open to the public, with parking available on-site at the arboretum.
Participants can choose from four route lengths — 4, 6, 8, and 12 miles — designed to accommodate everyone from beginners and families to more experienced cyclists. Rides start at 9 a.m.
The community bike ride has drawn hundreds of participants each year and aims to promote healthier lifestyles while strengthening community ties, according to a news release.
“This ride is about more than cycling; it’s about bringing Lawrence together,” Steve Lane, member of Lawrence Central Rotary and ride organizer, said in the release.
