The Lawrence Kids Collective is hosting a school year kickoff carnival where parents and guardians can learn about local programs for kids ranging from gymnastics to martial arts to robotics and more.
The collective is a group of kid-centered organizations that “support children’s growth in academics, athletics, the arts and personal development while making it easier for parents to explore local opportunities,” according to a news release.
The carnival will run from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 2 at A-Team Sports, 4000 W. Sixth St., Suite 2A.
The event is free and open to the public, and will feature games and hands-on activities for families.
Some of the businesses and organizations that will be present include Inspired Aerial Arts, Jayhawk Gymnastics, Level Up Robots, Premier Martial Arts, Sunflower State Dance and Speech Solutions. Click here for the full list.
