Families across Lawrence are invited to the Lawrence Schools Foundation’s third annual Kids Expo, a free back-to-school event packed with resources, giveaways and activities for students and caregivers.
The expo runs 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 8 at the Lawrence Public Schools district offices, 110 McDonald Drive. It’s free to attend and open to children of all ages.
This year, there will be:
• Health screenings and educational resources
• Free shoes and haircuts for students
• Back-to-school supplies
• Prize drawings, giveaways and food
• Entertainment and other activities
Attendees will also get a first look at Durham School Services’ buses, which will transport students starting this fall.
Volunteer opportunities are also available here for those who want to help support the event.
