Lawrence Psych Fest will return to The Bottleneck for its third year, bringing psychedelic rock, garage, shoegaze and other genre-bending sounds to the downtown venue.

Doors for the all-ages festival open at 5 p.m. and music begins at 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 5 at The Bottleneck, 737 New Hampshire St.

This year’s lineup spans hypnotic psychedelic rock, fuzz-heavy garage and dreamy shoegaze. The concert will feature Los Angeles-based psychedelic rock band Levitation Room alongside local acts Megafauna, Teri Quinn & The Coyotes, Pale Tongue and Corners of the Sky. Local vendors will also be part of the event.

The festival is a celebration of northeast Kansas’ independent music community and the musicians and fans who make up that scene.

“We’re really excited for Psych Fest this year,” Co-CEO Maddy Lehr said in a news release. “It’s going to be bigger and better than ever. It’s always fun when the local psychedelic scene comes together to support each other.”

Advance tickets cost $15; tickets purchased the day of the show cost $20. There is also a $2 surcharge at the door for anyone under 21. Tickets are available through The Bottleneck’s online ticketing system or in person at the Lucia box office, 1016 Massachusetts St.
