Services for Janet Marie Reynolds Price, 71, of Lawrence will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday October 26, 2026, at Rumsey Yost Funeral Home. Burial will take place at Pleasant Hill (Flory Family) Cemetery.

Janet passed away Sunday, October 18, 2026, peacefully at home. She was born September 6, 1955, in Lawrence to Donald R. and Phyllis M. Reynolds (Flory). She graduated from Lawrence High School in 1973 and attended Johnson County Community College for accounting classes.

She was an avid Kansas City Royals fan, and dog lover. She also enjoyed cooking, quilting, and spending time with family and friends. She adored her granddaughter Caitlin and was always looking for reasons to spend time with her.

She is survived by her father Donald Roy Reynolds of Lawrence, her only daughter Jessica Marie Todd Mooney (Wade) of Lawrence, and only granddaughter Caitlin AnnMarie Mooney of Lawrence, who she was very close to and joked she “hated” to spend time with.

She is preceded in death by her mother Phyllis Marie Reynolds, brother Michael Roy Reynolds, and beloved rescue dog Charlie.

Visitation will take place Sunday October 25, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 5:00 at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home. Funeral services will take place the following day, Monday October 26, 2026, at 1:00 pm. Graveside services will follow at Pleasant Hill (Flory Family) Cemetery in Douglas County, Kansas.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to Always and Furever Midwest Animal Sanctuary at www.alwaysandfurever.org, where she rescued her cherished dog, Charlie.

The family will also hold a reception following the graveside services at Wayne and Larry’s in Lawrence where they will serve food and refreshments. They invite all to join them and share stories and celebrate Janet’s life. To leave a message for Janet’s family, please visit Rumsey-Yost.com.
