Scott Robert Olcott passed away suddenly Tuesday, October 14, 2025 at the age of 34 in Lawrence, KS. He was born on Sunday, December 9th, 1990 in Arlington Heights Illinois.

From the moment Scott entered this world, he was loved beyond measure. As the first-born child of David and Dianne Olcott, and the older brother of Kathy Olcott, Scott brought so much joy to their lives.

From his earliest days, Scott loved to make the world around him laugh. And he was supremely good at it. Getting his start on home videos and school theatre programs in his childhood, he found his true passion in his adult years: improv. He would go on to take improv classes in Kansas City and Lawrence, eventually joining The Guild Theatre where he met the love of his life, his wife, Ivy Knight. They would go on to get married on October 22nd, 2022.

Scott loved his best friends Jeff, Will, Michael, Greg, and Tim like family. Scott loved spoiling his pets Broley, Memphis, and Jackson.

Scott had a deep love of music, comedy, and travel. He was well know for his ardent love of his favorite band, The Black Dahlia Murder.

He is deeply loved and missed by his family and friends.

Scott is survived by his Wife Ivy Knight, his parents David and Dianne Olcott, his sister Kathy Olcott, a large and loving extended family, and so many friends who will always remember him fondly.
