LPD Lt. David Ernst said via email that 46-year-old Justin Boldwarrior, of Lawrence, was the pedestrian who was found with life-threatening injuries near 22nd Street and Kasold Drive late Saturday night. He was transported to an area hospital.

Ernst said Boldwarrior’s family was aware that his name was being released.

The driver left the scene, but officers contacted them shortly after the incident. Ernst said the driver was interviewed and released pending further investigation.

Ernst said that the “accident remains under investigation” as of Tuesday.
