The United Way continues to fund agencies and programs in our target areas, with the larger goal of fighting poverty in Douglas County. From now until May 5th, we are accepting applicants for two separate funds geared toward Anti-Poverty and Family Stabilization, respectively.
Information about our Anti-Poverty grants can be found at unitedwaydgco.org/anti-poverty-grant. This opportunity is open to eligible 501c3 organizations and can range from $10,000-50,000. All of our strategies are equitable and directly informed by the Community Health Poverty Reduction plan which prioritize the alarming disparities facing BIPOC residents.
You can visit unitedwaydgco.org/familystabilization to learn more about our Family Stabilization grants. This opportunity is open to eligible 501c3 organizations and can range from $5,000-25,000. Family Stabilization grants are meant to provide direct assistance to low-income families to stabilize a financial crisis to prevent homelessness, utility shut-offs, the use of pay day lenders, and/or abusive or unsafe environments. This funding initiative, like all of our programs, is equity focussed and trauma-informed.
