Lawrence-Douglas County Public Health has announced dates and times for 15 upcoming COVID-19 vaccination clinics for children ages 6 months to 4 years old.
“6 of these clinics will be taking place at the Community Health Building in Lawrence where Lawrence-Douglas County Public Health is based, with the remaining events utilizing the department’s new Mobile Clinic,” according to a Wednesday news release.
People can register for the clinics by visiting ldchealth.org/getmyvaccine and entering the code that corresponds to the location that best suits their needs, according to the release.
Kids can get the Pfizer shots in a three-shot series with 21 days between shots, or the two-shot Moderna series with 28 days between shots, according to the release.

6mo-to-4-clinicsThe FDA gave the vaccine the green light for kids ages 6 months to 4 years on Friday, and the CDC gave approval for that age group on Saturday. All children, including those who have already had COVID-19, should get vaccinated, according to the CDC.
