The young artists of Van Go opened their annual Adornment holiday art show and sale to a Lawrence crowd Saturday night.
Adornment showcases artwork by Van Go apprentice artists — Douglas County teenagers and young adults ages 14 to 24 — and allows the young artists the opportunity to sell their pieces. Each fall, the artists create smaller-scale works of art to fill the show, according to Van Go’s website.
The space inside Van Go, 715 New Jersey St., is “transformed into a gallery shopping experience” during the time between Thanksgiving and Christmas to allow in-person browsing and shopping.
The gallery will be up at Van Go through Sunday, Dec. 18. It will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays, and 1 to 5 p.m. Sundays. Online shopping will also be available starting at 5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 27, and it will continue 24/7 throughout the holidays at this link.
