Students of Lawrence Public Schools’ middle and high schools will soon join together to present the annual All-City Choir Festival.

“This event brings all of our middle and high school vocal performance groups together as a collaborative ensemble directed by a highly respected guest clinician,” according to a Facebook post from the district.

That includes all four middle schools – Billy Mills, Liberty Memorial Central, Southwest and West — and both high schools, Lawrence and Free State.

“Students work with their respective outstanding directors throughout the month of January to present this memorable performance,” according to the post.

Melissa Grady, associate professor of music education at the University of Kansas School of Music, will serve as this year’s guest conductor, according to the flyer for the concert.

The concert is free to attend but donations are appreciated. Funds raised benefit the All-City Choir Fund, according to the post.

The show is set for 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 6 at the Lied Center, 1600 Stewart Drive.
