About us
The Lawrence Times is an independent online news publication covering Lawrence and Douglas County, Kansas. We launched in February 2021 and started publishing March 8, 2021. We are entirely owned and operated out of Lawrence, and we eat, sleep and breathe LFK.
We’re a grassroots publication launched with the goal of maintaining open news access for all members of this community regardless of income, and we survive on the support of those who are able and willing to pay because they believe in the value of what we do. We’re also trying to provide for free some services that other publications monetize, such as our obituaries and event listings.
Please consider supporting us through a paid subscription if you’re able so we can keep this dream alive.
