Kansas counties start recounting abortion amendment votes. But it won’t change the blowout defeat

Douglas and eight other Kansas counties must hand recount the soundly defeated vote on the constitutional amendment after anti-abortion advocates raised $120K to pay for the effort. County Clerk Jamie Shew said the county expects to be reimbursed for the cost of the recount from the bond.
