Lawrence still cleaning up after blizzard; answers to some FAQs as efforts continue

Many residential roads aren’t yet cleared as Lawrence recovers from the weekend’s blizzard, and bitter temperatures are forecast the remainder of the week. Here are answers to a few FAQs as cleanup efforts continue.

After all highways in northeastern Kansas were closed Sunday in response to the blizzard, state roads and highways are beginning to reopen. Lawrence streets may still be difficult to navigate, according to police.

The National Weather Service in Topeka received several reports of snow totals in Lawrence following Sunday’s blizzard. The highest was a total of about 11.5 inches.
