KU signs basketball coach Bill Self to lifetime contract extension
Basketball coach Bill Self, whose contract was scheduled to expire at the end of the 2021-22 season, signed a lifetime contract extension Friday to coach the Jayhawks, KU Chancellor Douglas Girod and Interim AD Kurt Watson announced.

‘Vast majority’ of Babcock Place residents back in their apartments
After a rooftop fire at Lawrence’s Babcock Place Apartments on Tuesday, a “vast majority” of the building’s residents have been able to return to their units, said Shannon Oury, executive director of the Lawrence-Douglas County Housing Authority.
