A judge denied probation for a Lawrence man who expressed deep regret and pleaded no contest in the June 2023 shooting death of a 20-year-old Topeka man, sentencing him Friday to about 2.5 years in prison.
A Lawrence man on Tuesday pleaded no contest to a charge of involuntary manslaughter in connection with the 2023 shooting death of 20-year-old Cameron Renner, of Topeka.
Prosecutors have filed a charge against a Lawrence man in connection with a June shooting that resulted in a 20-year-old man’s death.
Cameron Renner, a 20-year-old from Topeka, was the person shot and killed early Saturday in Lawrence, according to police.
An unidentified man was shot and killed early Saturday, and Lawrence police are asking for the public’s help.
