It’s a jungle inside the window front of Wild Man Vintage, complete with live cats on the weekends. And courtesy of some creative middle school students, their domain includes a climbable tree, too.
The Lawrence Humane Society (along with hundreds of other shelters across the country) is waiving all adoption fees Saturday, in an effort to get all animals available for adoption matched up with their new families.
We’ve watched them grow from tiny floofs who barely opened their eyes into active, playful kittens. Now, Andromeda and her babies are on their way to new homes and new lives.
“This week was bittersweet. We enjoyed our last week with the whole crew together,” Olivia Schwyhart writes.
Andromeda’s kittens at 7 weeks old: They’ll be leaving to go to new homes soon, but in the meantime, they’ve finally reached the top of the cat tree.
Andromeda’s kittens at 6 weeks old: Their personalities are getting as big as they are, and they get their very own room.
Andromeda’s kittens at 5 weeks old: They are such good climbers now that they can’t be contained. They escape the pen multiple times a day.
Andromeda’s kittens at 4 weeks old: Instincts are taking over, and their climbing skills are improving!
This week, the kittens got a little more sure-footed with walking around their nursery pen. They are still pretty wobbly.
The Lawrence Times is excited to roll out this new feature on this Caturday: Meet Andromeda’s kittens.
