A common thread through almost all of Lawrence Summer Youth Theatre’s 50-year history has been Ric Averill, along with his wife Jeanne and their children.
The moment they’ve all been waiting for soon will arrive. Finally, Ric and Jeanne Averill will perform on stage at the same time with their children, Will and Trish. The big event will take place on the mainstage at Lawrence Arts Center à la “Drunken Christmas Carol.”
Lawrence playwright Ric Averill’s most recent work takes him to his 1970s roots, back when he strummed his banjo and sang anti-war songs in the street. Back then, he was on a mission to stop the Vietnam War. Now he wants people to think more deeply about climate change.
“It is a Wednesday evening, the first night of autumn, and I have a date with the devil in the old Masonic Temple,” LarryvilleLife begins in this sneak peek at Stull Haunted House and Theater.
