Updated story: Missing boy found safe, Lawrence police say

Lawrence police said in an update around 11:35 p.m. Saturday that Trenton Eckles has been located safe.

The department’s Facebook post was shared almost 1,900 times in the span of a few hours.

Lawrence police are looking for 12-year-old Trenton Cale Eckles, who was last seen Thursday, according to a social media post Saturday evening.

Trenton was last seen at his home in the 800 block of East 11th Street around 5 p.m. Thursday. He was wearing a black T-shirt, black track pants and Adidas slides, according to the post.


Trenton is 5’2″ tall, weighs 110 pounds and does not have a cellphone, according to LPD.

Police ask anyone who has seen Trenton or knows of his whereabouts to contact the department at 785-832-7509 and reference case No. L21030926.
