A motorcyclist was flown to an area hospital after a crash with an SUV Wednesday, according to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office.

The SUV fled the scene of the crash toward Leavenworth County, DGSO said in a tweet just after 7 p.m. Wednesday.

Highway 24/40 will be closed to all traffic between East 1500 and East 1600 roads for “an unspecified amount of time,” according to the tweet.
