A view of Lawrence: Monarchs on milkweed

As reported in Monday’s Kaw Valley Almanac, “Monarch butterflies have benefitted from enough moisture and not too much heat to recolonize well in this region.”

Christy Huntington, of North Lawrence, said she saw six at once on some milkweed in North Lawrence on Sunday. She snapped a couple photos of the flutter of pretty pollinators.
