A person was injured in a reported shooting and taken to Lawrence Memorial Hospital Wednesday afternoon, according to scanner traffic.
Lawrence Police Department spokesperson Patrick Compton confirmed via email that police were investigating “a possible shooting” in the 400 block of East Seventh Street Wednesday afternoon, and would provide more information when possible.

The scanner indicated that the shooting occurred at the Amtrak station. The injured person was taken to the hospital in a personal vehicle rather than by ambulance, according to scanner traffic.
