Free State High School’s commencement has been moved to Thursday evening because of bad weather predicted for Tuesday.

The ceremony will instead be at 7 p.m. Thursday at the FSHS stadium.

The National Weather Service forecast Monday afternoon was showing a 100% chance of precipitation for Monday night and Tuesday. It shows mostly sunny skies for Thursday and beyond.

The district will continue watching forecasts for Wednesday. Lawrence High School’s graduation is set for 7 p.m. Wednesday at the LHS stadium, and as of Monday afternoon, the NWS forecast showed a 30% chance of precipitation that day.
