This year marks Family Promise’s 11th 5K Home Run, a big fundraiser for the organization. New and experienced runners, walkers, rollers, strollers and leashed dogs with their owners all are welcome.

There will also be a party on the east side of South Park with activities for kids, music, bounce houses, face painting and more.

Top 3 finishers in each age category will be given medals.

Check-in begins at 7:30 a.m. Monday, May 27, and the 5K starts at 8:30 a.m., beginning and ending at South Park. See a map of the course at this link.

Participation in the 5K costs $35 per person or $30 per person for teams of four or more on the day of the race. The kids’ activities are free.

Registration and packet pickup will also be available at Ad Astra Running, 835 Massachusetts St., from 12:30 to 4 p.m. Sunday, May 26. Learn more about the event at this link.
