11/22/1944 – 8/5/2024
Baldwin City, Kansas
Among a few notable events occurring on November 22, the most remarkable included the birth of a baby girl in 1944 in Anthony, Kansas. Walter Cooper and Louise Podschun Cooper named their blessing Patricia Ann Cooper. Pat was the only child of this union, but was blessed with a step-sister (Sandra) and two step-brothers (Thomas and Phillip) when her mother remarried H.T. (Sam) Harmon.
When Pat was a freshman at Anthony High School, a fellow Pirate named Loren Ingram stole her heart and the two eventually shared 59 years united in marriage. The couple spent time in Arkansas City, Leon, Anthony, and Baldwin City teaching, farming, and creating a family and strong network of friends.
Pat was a golfer, bowler, knitter, and teacher, but her best talent was proving her love for others. She provided a great gift in the certainty that her family was deeply loved. Pat’s passing on August 5, 2024, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital leaves a giant hole in the hearts of those who loved her most including her husband Loren, her sister in-law Dea Deutsch, her daughter Lori Ingram Stussie and son-in-law Larry, and her son, Gregory Ingram. Pat’s greatest pride, her grandsons, Andrew, Cameron, and Noah Stussie lost their biggest fan.
We will all deeply miss the blanket of her love and hope, over time, many memories will help mend our hearts.
Never one to enjoy the center of attention, Pat requested no services. Her family hopes you will complete an act of kindness in her honor. Memorials in her name can be made to a charity close to her heart, Baby Jay’s Legacy of Hope at: babyjayslegacy.org. Condolences may be sent to the family through lamb-roberts.com.
