The Lawrence City Band’s weekly summer shows at South Park will soon resume.
The concert series is an annual tradition, drawing community members to the park on Wednesday evenings.
“Bring a lawn chair or blanket, gather your friends and family, and enjoy an evening of music under the stars,” the band writes.
Shows begin at 8 p.m. each Wednesday at the South Park gazebo. They’re free to attend, and all are welcome.
Concerts move to the Lied Center, 1600 Stewart Drive, on rainy days; you can check for location changes on RainoutLine at this link.
The first show of the season, set for Wednesday, May 28, will be held at the Lied Center because of the potential for rain and muddy park conditions, the band announced.
