A sale this Saturday in Lawrence will offer 120 varieties of native plants that insects and pollinators rely on to survive and reproduce.
The sale, hosted annually by Master Gardeners of Douglas County, is scheduled for 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, May 31 in the Open Pavilion at the Douglas County Fairgrounds, 2120 Harper St.
This year’s inventory is more than double the amount last year, according to the Master Gardeners’ website.
All plants are grown locally and without pesticides. One plant costs $5, and three plants cost $14.

The Master Gardeners are also partnering with Douglas County CORE to welcome 50 to 60 local art, food and wellness service and product vendors in addition to other small businesses.
