A street party will transition into an indoor watch party Tuesday evening as Team Algeria is set to face Argentina in a World Cup group stage match.
Score Lawrence is hosting a soccer celebration from 3 to 11 p.m. Tuesday, June 16. Events will begin on Seventh Street between Massachusetts and New Hampshire streets. The party will transition inside Liberty Hall, 644 Massachusetts St., to watch the game, set to begin at 8 p.m.
The event is free to attend and open to the community.
There will be live entertainment starting each hour from 3 to 6 p.m. including Amplify Lawrence, B.L.A.C.K. Lawrence, Indra, and soccer freestyler Tim Hoekman, followed by SUNU at 6:45 p.m.

World Cup matches began Thursday, June 11, and the final match is set for Sunday, July 19.
Team Algeria, which has its base camp in Lawrence, has three group stage matches: Tuesday, June 16, against Argentina, in Kansas City; Monday, June 22, against Jordan, in San Francisco; and Saturday, June 27, against Austria, in Kansas City.
