Massachusetts Street will transform into a midsummer night’s dream with two outdoor events: the annual street market and dining extravaganza, plus a Brass on Mass concert.
For Midsummer Night on Mass, hosted by Downtown Lawrence Inc., downtown shops stay open late, and restaurants and bars offer promotions. That will take place from 4 to 10 p.m. Friday, June 26.
The event — “an evening to celebrate our community and our treasured downtown,” according to the event description — was previously the Sidewalk Sale, but rebranded and moved to begin later in the day in 2023.
Currently, establishments such as Waxman Candles, Little K & Co., Arizona Trading Co., Au Marche and Merchants Pub & Plate are signed up to participate. See the full list of promotions at msnonmass.com.
Simultaneously, The Granada will host the latest in their Live on Mass concert series, Brass on Mass. Featuring The Dead Bettys, The Band That Saved The World, SUNU, and River City Brass Band, the concert is free for all ages.
Gates open at 5 p.m. The concert will take place outside on the 1000 block of Mass, and there will be vendor market inside The Granada, 1020 Massachusetts St.
