Day on the Hill will return to KU this fall for the first time in 19 years, with Grammy-winning rock band Turnstile set to headline.
The concert is scheduled for Oct. 6 on the Hill at KU, with tickets going on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, June 26. Joining the rock band from Baltimore are Slayyyter and Die Spitz.
Tickets will be available at this link. Tickets range from $61 to $84 before fees. A limited number of student discount tickets at $41 plus fees will be available to 2025–26 student combo pass holders through their season ticket portal.
Last held in 2007, the event is being revived to celebrate Mammoth Live’s 20th anniversary. The Lawrence-based independent concert promoter is organizing the return. The concert is perhaps best known for its 1992 headliner, Pearl Jam.

“Day on the Hill is such a legendary part of Lawrence and KU music history,” Mammoth co-founder Josh Hunt said in a news release. “We are beyond excited to help revive the spirit of this iconic event in modern times. We feel we couldn’t have asked for a better lineup in 2026 to honor this Kansas tradition.”
Day on the Hill started as a way for the University of Kansas Student Union Activities to use leftover programming funds, and quickly grew into a signature campus concert featuring acts such as They Might Be Giants and The Urge, along with several local artists.
Heather Blanck, KU’s vice chancellor of strategic growth initiatives and real estate, said in the release that the return of the event is a landmark moment for KU and is intended to highlight campus life and draw both students and the community.
“This event is about bringing people together — from KU students and alumni to music fans across the greater Kansas City area — and showcasing the Hill as a vibrant destination,” Blanck said.
Turnstile, formed in 2010, has gained national prominence in recent years, blending hardcore punk with elements of rock and metal. The group won Grammy Awards earlier this year for best metal performance and best rock album.
Slayyyter, an electropop artist whose third album “Worst Girl in America” was released in March, and Austin-based rock band Die Spitz, which released its debut album “Something to Consume” in 2025, round out the lineup.
According to Turnstile, they have partnered with PLUS1 to donate $1 from every ticket sold to support local organizations in each tour city working across youth services, mental health, immigrant support and community care. The Lawrence partner has not been announced yet.
