Ruth Elizabeth Herpich (née McGregor; 1947-2026) passed peacefully July 23. She grew up in rural Leon, KS and married teacher and fellow KS native C. R. Herpich in 1967. She worked for KU from the 1980s until her retirement.
C. R. preceded her in death in 2019. She is survived by their children, Paul (and wife Lori), David, and Stephanie Elizabeth; and by Ruth’s sister, Nancy Roberts. An informal celebration of her life will be held 2PM, Aug. 29, at White School, 1510 N 3rd St, Lawrence.
