Choose from more than 60,000 books, CDs and DVDs for $2 or less apiece at the upcoming fall book sale to benefit the Lawrence Public Library.
“It’s the ultimate way to prepare for the colder months ahead, all while supporting your local library’s programs and services,” the event page reads.
The sale, hosted by the LPL Friends & Foundation, will kick off with a members’ night from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 8. Folks can become a member for $25 at the door.
Then, the sale will be open to the public from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 9 and Saturday, Oct. 11, and noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 11.
Shoppers should enter on the Kentucky Street side of the library, 707 Vermont St., on all days.
Hardcovers and audiobooks are $2. Paperbacks, graphic novels, CDs, DVDs, video games, puzzles and children’s and young adult hardcovers are $1. Mass market paperbacks, comics, board books and children’s and young adult paperbacks are 50 cents.
The sale includes an array of fiction and subcategories of nonfiction. See the full list at this link.
