Black Hawk helicopters will fly over the KU football stadium ahead of the Jayhawks’ game against the University of Central Florida on Saturday.
There will not be a practice run for this flyover, but the helicopters will fly over the stadium prior to the 2:45 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 7 start time.
“The aircraft and flight crews are from Bravo Company (Company B), 1st Battalion, 108th Aviation Regiment of the Kansas Army National Guard, also known as the Shadow Riders,” according to a KU news release.
“The UH-60 Black Hawk is a versatile military helicopter used to transport troops and equipment, evacuate injured personnel and support ground operations,” the release continued.
