As Kansas Athletics continues to renovate the KU football stadium, playing remaining home games at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City for the rest of the season will come with a steep price tag.
KU announced in January that it would play some of its home football games at Arrowhead Stadium. Since that time, KU has been negotiating with the Chiefs and hadn’t reached an agreement three days before the game.
Fans of Kansas football gathered to ring in the season, which will begin with the Jayhawks’ matchup against Lindenwood Thursday evening.
